The history of english language started with the arrival of three germanic tribes who invaded Britain in the 5th century. those tribes are the angels, the saxons and the jutes.
In the first time they spoke similar languages which developed in Britain into what we call know old english, Old english is diffrent than modern english which means that native english speakets can not understand it easly, but there are a lot of words in modern english that have old english roots.
